Game of Thrones - Birthday Party

I wanted something special for my birthday and as I was really into the Game of Thrones show and
the books, I have decided to throw a GOT party. With proper food and costumes and everything :-)

Wall paper art used for this poster are made by

I have decided to be Daenerys Targaryen in the Dothraki costume from the first season. As a true
mother of Dragons :-P I have made the dragon eggs myself.  The dragon eggs chest is of my cousins
and it fit the dragon eggs perfectly. It was used as a pirate chest and princess chest in previous parties.

The party comers were Cat and Ned Stark, Jamie, Cersei Lannister, Myrcella Baratheon. From the
Dothraki tribes it was Khal Drogo and hand maid. Others included Lord Baelish, Shae and Jon Snow.

I have set the table in Lannister colors. To create the Kings Landing dining experience, I have decorated the candle lit table with sweet pears and grapes and lemons. For the dishes and drinks, I
have spray painted the goblets for summer vine and plates for meat so they looked ancient.

As a main course, we had roasted chickens, two types of salads and bread. Guys used no cutlery.

My sister Sansa made the party banners. To pay her back, I have made some lemon cakes, her
favorite of course. (These were based on recipe for vanilla cupcakes. I have added lots of lemon juice into the batter and I frosted the cupcakes with lemon frosting. They were quite zesty.)

I have enjoyed my little Westeros event. It was great to see everyone together and I must say that
even though only few people watch the show, they put lots of thought into dressing up for me.
